Biography

Roland Davis has had the honor of being an educator for the past 21 years, with 15 of those as an administrator. Roland holds a Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership, a Masters Degree in School Administration, and a Bachelors Degree in Sociology. Roland served as a site principal and assistant principal at both the elementary and high school levels. Prior to becoming a school administrator, he taught 4th, 6th and 7th grade. He currently enjoys his role as a history teacher for high school sophomores and juniors. Roland strongly believes that a school administrator should work diligently to support his students, staff, and the entire school community to ensure his students achieve success. Dr. Davis, is excited to join Touro University as chair of the Administrative Leadership program and Assistant Professor for the Graduate School of Education.

Roland has been married for 27 years to his wife, Jacalyn, who is also an educator. Their 25-year-old daughter, Zaire, recently earned her Masters Degree and is an apprentice writer for Disney. Their son, Roland, Jr., 21, is currently earning his Biology Degree. He is an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and enjoys reading, playing golf, and working out during his spare time.
