I have practiced as an osteopathic family physician in both my own private office and as an employed physician. I spent 9 years in occupational medicine, as Regional Medical Director, supervising 35 clinics in So. California. From 1999-2003, I was Director of Medical Education and Program Director for Family Medicine Residency at Lake Mead Hospital in Nevada. In 2013, I returned to TUC full-time. I was awarded the Douglas Ward PhD Educator of the Year award from the American Osteopathic Foundation in 2016, Master Preceptor award from ACOFP in 2017 and the Physician of the Year award from OPSC in 2018. In Spring of 2020, I attended and received a certificate of completion in Effective Instruction from The Association of College and University Educators (ACUE). I was recognized as Item-Writer of the Year for COMLEX Level 3 – CDM by the NBOME in 2020 and again in January 2024.
