Biography

My name is Darcie Larimore-Arenas and I have been an Assistant Professor at Touro University California since December 2015. I coordinate the Clinical Applications IV and Medical Spanish courses, co-coordinate the Medicine I-III cornerstone courses and assist in several other didactic courses. Clinically, I practice in orthopedics and urgent care and have worked for many years in Family Practice at a Federally Qualified Health Center. I am a TUCA Faculty Senator and serve on the Executive Committee, as well as volunteer with the nationwide Aquifer Physician Assistant Task Force, and serve as a California Academy of Physician Assistant House of Delegates representative. In my community, I volunteer with numerous local athletic and service groups, as well as the Medical Service Corps during emergencies. My research interests include how implicit bias impacts patient care, how school based health center affect student attendance and early childhood literacy. In my free time, I enjoy hiking and beekeeping.
