Public Health Certificate

 PRMC 639a – 1 credit

This elective course explores leadership and management topics in pharmacy practice, with an emphasis on service development and innovation. Students examine how new pharmacy services are developed and implemented and explore leadership approaches used in successful pharmacy practice models.

PRMC 639b – 1 credit

This course builds on the concepts introduced in Part A and focuses on communication and dissemination of pharmacy services. Students develop professional presentations, written reports, and other materials related to leadership and service development.

PRMC 865 or PRMC 866 – 6 credits

Students complete an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) focused on leadership, management, or public health services as one of your elective APPE courses. These experiences may occur in community or health-system pharmacy settings that offer innovative patient care services or population health programs.
