Biography
Dr Timothy Dowling is a graduate of New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a rotating osteopathic internship followed by a Family Medicine residency. He is board certified in Family Medicine since 1996 with certifications in Travel Medicine and High complexity medical laboratory. He has served as Program director for both Osteopathic internship and ACGME Family Medicine Residency. He has been in private primary care practice, served as Medical Director of a nursing home and Director of Student health Service at the University of Delaware. He led University of Delaware’s COVID response where he oversaw the development and implementation of in-house PCR testing. His teaching background besides Family Medicine residency, includes a 300 level microbiology course at University of Delaware, leading annual disaster training at University of Delaware and national lecture on Evaluation and treatment of Hypertension: a comprehensive approach. He has been recognized as Delaware’s Family Physician of the Year. He has received the outstanding service award and Board of Trustees Medal of Distinction from the University of Delaware. He has been on faculty at Touro since December 2022.
