Letter from Touro University California

 Dear GSOE Community,

It is with a deep sense of reflection that we share the news regarding the future of our Graduate School of Education (GSOE) program. After careful consideration and despite our best efforts to explore alternatives, we have made the difficult decision to phase out our GSOE programs due to ongoing challenges with national low enrollment. Its final term will conclude at the end of Fall 2025.

This decision was not made lightly, and we recognize the impact it will have on our GSOE community—our faculty, staff, students, and alumni. The contributions of this program have been profound at Touro University California and our surrounding community, and we are immensely proud of the lasting legacy it has created in the lives of so many educators.

We remain fully committed to supporting our students during this transition. To ensure their success, we are preparing individual comprehensive academic plans to ensure that each student has the necessary support and resources to successfully complete their degree.

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the entire GSOE community. Your support, commitment, and collaboration have been integral to the success of this program. We deeply appreciate the trust you have placed in us and the contributions you’ve made over the years.

As we move forward, please know that the spirit of care and community that defines Touro University California will remain at the forefront as we navigate this change together. If you have any questions, please send us an email at tuc.cehs@touro.edu.

Thank you,

Dr. Tami Hendriksz, Mr. Newman Hoffman, Dr. Steve Jacobson
