Biography

Deborah Taylor’s has 27 years of nursing experience, first in acute care and later in school nursing. She also has experience as a continuing education instructor for registered nurses and a teacher in an LVN program.

She collaborated with a small team of nurses and doctors to initiate the first after-hours urgent care Pediatric clinic at Kaiser Vallejo during the 1980s. Later, she worked as a nurse manager as well as a certificated school nurse in various Northern California school districts. As a member of Solano County School Health Council, she worked with a group of nurse leaders to establish countywide protocols for school nursing. She also designed and enacted innovative training programs for unlicensed personnel in several school districts.
