Biography

I completed my medical degree at Kabul University of Medical Science, where I later joined the faculty and contributed to curriculum development, student mentorship, and teaching in community medicine, anatomy, histology, embryology, and foundational pathology. During this time, I supervised research projects examining cellular structure, organ function, and disease mechanisms, helping students build a strong scientific foundation for clinical practice.

I also hold a clinical ultrasound certificate and have one year of experience performing patient examinations, which strengthened my diagnostic and clinicalteaching skills.

I went on to earn a Master of Public Health with a concentration in maternal and child health, expanding my training in epidemiology, biostatistics, andpopulation‑based research methods. My work included cross‑sectional studies and quantitative analyses focused on maternal health and reproductive healthservice delivery.

I continued my academic training at the University of California, San Francisco, completing a Master of Science in Global Health with a focus on non‑communicable diseases and health systems. At UCSF, I conducted research on barriers to diabetes care for young people during political instability, applying qualitative and implementation‑focused approaches and presenting my findings at academic conferences.

In the United States, I have partnered with community organizations to deliver reproductive health education for immigrant and refugee communities, supporting health literacy and access to preventive care. Across my academic and clinical roles, I have taught undergraduate and graduate learners, developed curricula, supervised research projects, and supported student professional development. My work is grounded in a commitment to health equity, evidence‑based practice, and preparing future health professionals to serve diverse and underserved populations.
