Cambodia, has achieved remarkable progress toward UNAIDS targets. Yet, clinic congestion and stigma continue to challenge sustained care. A new study published in Nature Communications evaluates a community-based antiretroviral therapy (ART) delivery model that decentralizes treatment through trained peer-led groups. Findings show that this approach maintains high viral suppression rates, improves ART adherence, and enhances physical health and mental well-being, offering a scalable solution for person-centered HIV care. The model demonstrates resilience and operational benefits, supporting integration into national HIV strategies.
