The Mobile Diabetes Education Center -MOBEC- will be providing services at the Dia-BEAT-it Day Event along with other Touro University California and Solano County community programs!
Join us for this special community event celebrating World Diabetes Day, on Sunday, November 15, 2026, at the Joseph Nelson Community Center.
This free, family-friendly event will feature:
- Health and wellness talks
- Diabetes education and resources
- Health screenings
- Physical activities
- Community vendors and exhibits
- Fun activities for all ages
Whether you're living with diabetes, supporting a loved one, or simply interested in learning more about healthy living, there's something for everyone.
MOBEC Services will include:
- A one-on-one interaction with each community member visiting MOBEC to assess risk factors for diabetes.
- Diabetes screening and individualized education to prevent and manage diabetes and prediabetes.
- Blood pressure screening/checks and education
- Cholesterol screenings
- Resources for tobacco cessation, food distribution, transportation, and other community services as needed.
