Biography
Professor Saenz grew up in South Florida, where her passion for culture and community first took root. She earned her Bachelor of Health Science with a concentration in Medical Sonography from Nova Southeastern University, later continuing at the same institution to complete her Master of Health Science with a concentration in Higher Education. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Health Science with a concentration in Education for Health Professionals and is set to complete her degree in 2026.
She has worked in vascular surgery, sonography, and general/obgyn sonography and has taught radiology residents in their ultrasound externships. She is deeply committed to preparing future diagnostic medical sonographers and health care professionals, with a particular focus on the moral and ethical responsibilities essential for patient-centered care.
Outside the classroom, Professor Saenz enjoys spending time at the beach, staying active through workouts and sports, and relaxing with her rescue pup. She also values quality time with friends and family, embracing the balance of academic dedication and personal well-being.
