Research Day showcases the recent research contributions of faculty and students in science, clinical practice, education and public health. The year’s Research Day will focus on Implementation Science. For the second year, this event will be fully remote and open to healthcare and education professionals from all over the country! Keynote speaker Dr. Geoff Curran, Director for the Center for Implementation Research at University of Arkansas of Medical Sciences, will discuss implementation science research and how adopting this paradigm can aid in the development and effective long-term sustainability of clinical and educational interventions.

A showcase of TUC research will include a poster session where the audience can learn from students and faculty about the research projects they have undertaken and participate in a question-and-answer session. Dr. Curran's presentation will highlight various examples across health care and education disciplines of implementation science in action, as well as discuss sources of additional information, formation of effective research teams in this area, and potential sources of funding. We will also hear from three TUC faculty regarding their research focusing on interventions that really matter and that are sustainable, including Drs. Kristen Herzik, Terrye Moore-Harper, and Andrea Taylor.

Virtual Student Poster Sessions (1 & 2)

Given the remote nature of this year's Research Day the virtual poster presentation will occur in two ways. The first is that all presenters will provide a pre-recorded version of your poster presentation that are available on the site linked below. Please review the pre-recorded presentation prior to Research Day.

The virtual poster presentations are live, synchronous group Zoom session that will allow members of the community to ask questions of the presenters. These sessions are thematically organized, with 5 to 7 presenters in each room, during either the 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm or 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm slot. A facilitator will manage each session, with questions and answers of the poster presenters. The goal of this live session is not to present the poster, but to give all participants an opportunity to interact with and answer questions from the community.

If you have any questions, please contact Shane Desselle at sdessell@touro.edu
