Biography

Allied healthcare has been a guiding force throughout my life, inspired early on by my father’s work as a department manager and radiography instructor. With 32 years of experience in higher education, I am dedicated to sharing knowledge that has real-world impact and can truly change lives. Early leadership roles—such as serving as a Special Procedures Supervisor in an underserved Southern California trauma hospital during the 1992 Los Angeles riots—strengthened my commitment to delivering exceptional patient care while developing advanced skills in CT, MRI, and Angiography. These experiences shaped my confidence as a communicator and leader in high-pressure environments.

My transition into education allowed me to elevate training standards and student outcomes. At Yuba College, I restructured the radiography program, raising board exam pass rates from 68% to 98% over more than a decade despite significant resource challenges. I later expanded my teaching experience at Merritt College and Mesa College, working with diverse student populations and refining strategies to support learners from all backgrounds. I hold myself and my colleagues to the highest standards—there is no place for mediocrity in healthcare education. With extensive allied health expertise and a proven commitment to student success, I am prepared to make a meaningful contribution to the Touro University Radiologic Technology program.
