Touro University California 2019 Commencement Ceremony 

May 15, 2019 Update:  Due to inclement weather, the ceremonies have been moved off-campus to the Solano County Community College gymnasium at Building 1700A, 4000 Suisun Valley Road, Fairfield, CA, 94534. 

As this venue is indoors, there is limited occupancy as required by the Fire Marshall. Please let us know at your earliest convenience if you were planning to attend one of the commencement ceremonies as a member of the media or community so that we can make sure to reserve you a space.

Touro University California (TUC) is pleased to announce that after several years of being held off campus, the commencement ceremonies for the 2019 graduating classes are returning to the TUC campus in the Grove Amphitheatre! 

Join faculty and staff along with community members, special guest speakers, students and their families on Sunday, May 19 and 20 as we celebrate the commencements of the College of Pharmacy, College of Education and Health Sciences, and College of Osteopathic Medicine respectively. 

At the 2019 Commencement, an expected 490 graduate degrees will be conferred to 440 students. The 2019 Commencement marks the rise of the total number of TUC Alumni to over 5,000 exceptional physicians, pharmacists, educators, physician assistants, nurses, public health practitioners, and health science professionals.

Class of 2019 Student Speakers 

WHAT: Attendees will witness the formal ceremony of commencement for the Colleges of Pharmacy, Education and Health Services, and Osteopathic Medicine along with the transition of our students to the next stage of their careers. The graduation will feature speeches from graduate students, campus presidents and leaders in the fields of each respective college. Attendees will also have the chance to see special guest speakers Virginia Herold, Former Executive Officer California State Board of Pharmacy, and Stephen Shannon, President of the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine. 

WHERE: Grove Amphitheatre,TUC Campus, 1310 Club Dr, Vallejo, CA 94592 

WHEN: All ceremonies begin promptly at that time stated below. Doors open for guests an hour prior.

  • College of Pharmacy: Sunday, May 19 at 10:00 a.m.
  • College of Education and Health Sciences: Sunday, May 19 at 5:00 p.m.
  • College of Osteopathic Medicine: Monday, May 20 at 10:30 a.m. 

WHY: Since 1997, TUC has promoted academic excellence, evidence-based professional practice, inter-professional collaboration and active community engagement to prepare future medical, education and public health professionals to make a positive impact in their community. Commencement represents a pivotal stage in our students’ lives as they advance into their careers in healthcare and education.
