Solano-based Study Shows Diabetes-related Distress, Cardiovascular Health Link

MARE ISLAND — Doctors have long-known the connections between heart attack and/or stroke and the onset of Type 2 diabetes, but most of those links have been discovered through physiological relationships.
A new study, headed by Touro University California professor Dr. Clipper Young, which
was published recently by the American Diabetes Association, shows a strong correlation
between coronary heart disease and mental stress associated with diabetes.
