Touro University California lecture series continues on Oct. 28

On Oct. 28, Touro University California will host the fifth lecture in its free, fifth annual Social Justice in Public Health Lecture Series. This year’s focus is on environmental justice and public health examining the ongoing impact of environmental risks on our health.
Representatives fighting for environmental justice here in the Bay Area will discuss their work in impacted communities including in San Francisco, Richmond, the Salinas Valley, and beyond.
They include Héktor Calderón, Pesticide Action Network, Andres Soto, Communities for a Better Environment, and Dalila Adofo, GreenAction for Health and Environmental Justice.
The lecture will be from 5 to 7 p.m., inside Lander Hall, Touro University Campus, Lander Hall Room A-164, 105 Owen Drive, on Mare Island in Vallejo.
The final lecture will be on Nov. 11 regarding Community Action for the Environment: Equity and Economy.
