Touro University in Vallejo to celebrate American Pharmacists Month

Touro University California and the city of Vallejo are inviting residents to celebrate American Pharmacists Month and Women in Pharmacy Day on Friday, according to a Touro news release.

Touro’s College of Pharmacy will provide light refreshments and give an up-close look at a wide variety of pharmacy activities and hear how students and faculty are making sure that patients receive optimal drug therapy management. The event will celebrate the achievements of American pharmacists and female pharmacy leaders. The celebration is free and open to all.

Dignitaries include: Tom Bartee, district director for California District 3 Senator Bill Dodd’s Office, Jana Modena, representative from California District 14 Assembly member Timothy Grayson’s Office, and Vallejo Vice Mayor Pippin Dew.

The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the gazebo area and surrounding grass in front of College of Pharmacy Office Building, Touro University California Campus, 189 Moises Way, Mare Island, in Vallejo.
