Fairfield woman ‘100 percent’ committed to youth, women’s golf

Lynda Donahue has for weeks been training as though she were about to run a half-marathon.

In reality, the Fairfield resident and retired director of special education at the Vacaville School District is just preparing to go out to play a round of golf – a 100-hole round of golf.

...She was an educator for 38 years, as a teacher, speech therapist and administrator. She also taught briefly at Touro University California on Mare Island. She is a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and part of Sistas on the Links, an organization dedicated to women’s golf in the Bay Area.
