Get a jump on flu season with free shots at Solano libraries

A steady stream of people stopped by the Ulatis Community Center library Wednesday afternoon to get a jump on the flu season.

The Solano County Library and Solano County Public Health Department, with help from Touro University California students, offered free vaccines.

...Dara Sek was satisfying clinical hours for her nursing studies at Touro University. She drove up from San Jose to help.

Wednesday marked the first time in several years Vivian Martinez took advantage of the offer.

“I do a lot of reading,” she said. “I read a book about every two days. I’m here a lot.”
