Touro’s lecture series continues on Sept. 9 in Vallejo

Touro University California will host the second lecture in its free, fifth Annual Social Justice in Public Health Lecture Series on Sept. 9.

This year’s focus is on environmental justice and public health examining the ongoing impact of environmental risks on our health.

In the second of this six-lecture series, pediatrician, professor and public health advocate, Dr. Mona Hann-Attisha, who was named one of Time Magazine’s Most Influential People in 2016 for her research that first exposed the Flint water crisis as well as Phoebe Seaton, the co-founder, co-director and legal director of the Leadership Counsel for Justice and Accountability who has advocated for safe drinking water on behalf of California residents across the state. Read More
