Touro graduates inaugural class from accelerated nursing program

VALLEJO — Less than two years after stepping foot in a Touro University classroom, 29 men and women picked up their master of science in nursing degrees.

They were the first students to earn that accomplishment at the Vallejo campus.

The changing face of health care has opened new opportunities in the nursing field, such as clinical nurse leaders. The demand for education beyond a bachelor’s degree has also increased.

The Touro program is designed with both of those in mind. And, it was done at an accelerated pace.
