COP - White Coat Ceremony

The Dean, Faculty, and Students of the College of Pharmacy request the honor of your presence at the

White Coat Ceremony
Class of 2020

Sunday, August 28, 2016
9:00 AM

Lander Hall Auditorium
Mare Island Campus
Vallejo, California

This ceremony is part of the initiation of new health professions students; it is a time when they are “cloaked” with their first white lab coat. This ritual, held in the presence of faculty, administration, and family members, helps students become aware of their responsibilities as healers from the very beginning of their training. The Ceremony encourages them to accept the obligations inherent in their scope of practice: to be excellent in science; to be compassionate; and to lead lives of uprightness and honor. Today’s ceremony, performed on behalf of the twelfth class of the College of Pharmacy, represents what has become a valued tradition at Touro University California.
