Topic: The Spatial Distribution of Health-related Community-Based Organizations in Malawi

In many sub-Saharan African countries, local non-governmental and community-based organizations deliver a significant proportion of health services. Despite their importance, we know little about the dynamics of their formation or the determinants of their geographic distribution. To address this gap, we study the changing geographic distribution of health-related CBOs in Malawi over a 15-year period, examining where they are concentrated; how stable they are over time; and the socio-economic factors associated with their formation and persistence.
