Master of Public Health Program: The Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), the nationally recognized accrediting body for graduate programs in public health, formally acted at its September 2006 meeting to approve Touro University California's request to begin the accreditation process for its MPH program.
The procedures provide that the Public Health Program has up to two years to undertake a self-study and submit an acceptable self-study document. The self-study must be submitted by September 30, 2008, although the University may elect to submit it earlier; if an earlier date is selected the University will need to negotiate an earlier review schedule with CEPH staff. An on-site visit by a team of peer reviewers will follow self-study submission by approximately five months.
