Join Touro University California, California District 3 Senator Bill Dodd’s Office and County Supervisor Monica Brown as they Celebrate American Pharmacists Month

Come celebrate American Pharmacists Month and Women Pharmacist Day on October 12 with Mr. Tom Bartee, Representative for California District 3 Senator Bill Dodd and California District 14 Assemblymember Tim Grayson; Solano County Supervisor Monica Brown; and Touro University California (TUC) faculty, students and interns. We celebrate the accomplishments of the power of pharmacists to provide safe and effective use of medication and patient care. 

WHO:

  • Monica Brown, Solano County District 2 Supervisor
  • TUC Faculty, Students and Interns 

WHAT: TUC will celebrate the achievements of American pharmacists with a proclamation from Mr. Tom Bartee that October is American Pharmacists Month in California District 3 and a proclamation from Supervisor Monica Brown that October 12 is Women Pharmacists Day in Solano County. Student and faculty will also be recognized for special achievements in providing easy to reach quality medical care. Refreshments, raffle prizes and commemorative photo opportunities will be available. The celebration is free and open to all.

WHY: American Pharmacists Month honors the unique role pharmacists play in helping patients improve their adherence to their medications and patient care that ensures optimal medication outcomes. Women Pharmacist Day acknowledges the significant gains women have made pursuing careers in pharmacy and their unique position as trusted health care resources, particularly for women who make an average of 80 percent of the health care purchasing decisions for their families.
